PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a navigation device capable of displaying weather condition information in an effective range of the periphery of destination to allow a user to check the weather condition information of the destination in advance, and of presenting a candidate of an alternative destination to a user when weather of the destination does not meet requirements of a user. SOLUTION: A navigation device acquires weather condition information at an arbitrary time from external servers and other vehicles, indicates an effective range in a map that is displayed in the display device, and then overlaps and displays the weather condition information. Also, a user specifies the destination from a map or destination data according to categories, and the weather condition requirements that a user desires. When the weather condition of the specified destination at an estimated arrival time is not a desired condition of a user, the candidate of the alternative destination is extracted to present based on requirements, such as a category of a destination, a distance from a vehicle location to the alternative destination, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
