ADAPTIVE ANTENNA DEVICE AND RADIO COMMUNICATION APPARATUS COMPRISING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve radiation property and communication quality of an antenna in comparison with the prior art. SOLUTION: An adaptive antenna device includes antennas 10a and 10b; a weight control unit 42 which adaptively controls the antennas 10a and 10b using a predetermined weight based on radio signals received by the antennas 10a and 10b; a gyro sensor 6; and a reception SINR detection circuit 46. The gyro sensor 6 detects states of holding and placing the adaptive antenna device and a state of proximity with an obstacle. The reception SINR detection circuit 46 detects an SINR of radio signals received by the plurality of antennas 10a and 10b. The weight control unit 42 determines the weight in accordance with the detected states and the SINR for the radio signals received by the antennas 10a and 10b and adaptively controls the antennas 10a and 10b using the determined weight.
