PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm call termination, a voice message, or the like, when the automatic answering function is effective through a simple arrangement without using a telephone line by means of a communication terminal, or the like, having an e-mail receiving function, and to confirm processing concerning the automatic answering function of a master unit by means of the slave unit of cordless telephone. SOLUTION: The cordless telephone 100 includes a master unit 100A having an automatic answering function, and a slave unit 100B which can talk over the master unit 100A by wireless communication wherein the master unit 100A has a section 104 for performing wireless communication with the slave unit 100B, an IP communication I/F 106, a telephone line I/F 110, a section 113 for detecting a call termination signal by the telephone line I/F 110, and a control section 170 for transmitting an e-mail showing the fact that a call termination signal is detected by the section for detecting the call termination when the automatic answering function is effective to a mail address specified beforehand by SMTP through the IP communication I/F 106.
