PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a further practical solenoid valve by suppression of self-excited vibration or the like. SOLUTION: A plunger 132 of the solenoid valve 80 is composed of a plunger body 172 and a sleeve 174, and the plunger body 172 includes a projection part 200 on the side surface thereof. The projection part 200 is formed of the same ferromagnetic material as that of the plunger body 172, and the sleeve 174 is formed of a nonmagnetic material. Although a line of magnetic force passes through a clearance 176 between the plunger body 172 and a housing 120 by a magnetic field generated by a solenoid 124, the magnetic flux density of the line of magnetic force passing through the projection part 200 is larger than that of a line of magnetic force passing through the sleeve 174, and the force of attracting the projection part 200 to the housing 120 is increased. Consequently, the force for moving the plunger 132 toward the projection part 200 within an orthogonal plane right-angled to the axial line is generated, and the abrasion resistance between the plunger 132 and the housing 120 is increased to suppress the self-excited vibration of the plunger 132.
