PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mooring rope structure and a method for attaching a mooring rope capable of easily and securely carrying out hooking work to a hook of a pier. SOLUTION: The mooring rope structure is for hooking a ship to the pier 18 when the ship is moored to the pier 18. The structure is provided with a first rope 11 with one end part connected to the ship side and the other end part formed with an annular shape part 14 and a second rope 12 with one end part coupled to the annular shape part 14 of the first rope 11 and the other end part drawn to the pier 18 side. The annular shape part 14 of the first rope 11 is hooked to the hook 21 provided on the pier 18 by drawing the other end part of the second rope 12 to the pier 18 side.
