The procedure consists of initially measuring static radial (R) and tangential (T) moments of a series of blades, and using the measurements to select pairs of blades for fitting to the rotor in diametrically-opposite positions. In addition, measurements of axial moments (A) can also be included in the selection procedure, in which the differences between the measured moments must not exceed predetermined threshold levels of 2.10-4 and 4.10-4 mkg respectively.
