A method for recording karaoke audio is provided to execute record and play of karaoke audio normally using a storage of small capacity by searching karaoke disk identification information and audio song identification information stored in the storage, and playing sound data from the storage at the same time as playing karaoke audio song. A microphone sound signal is converted into digital sound data when record is asked(S12). The converted digital sound data, karaoke disk identification information, and audio song identification information are linked and stored in a storage in a device(S13,S14), wherein the storage is at least one of a flash memory, an EEPROM, and a DRAM. The karaoke disk identification information and the audio song identification information are searched, and karaoke audio song and sound data are played, when playing of the recorded karaoke song is asked(S16~S18).
