A resume play method of a data update storage is provided to execute resume play normally by checking whether or not storage ID and some data correspond to each other. Storage ID, last play position, and some data are linked and stored as storage resume play information in the memory of a micom when playing of a data update storage is stopped(S10~S14). The data update storage is played from the last play position if the stored storage ID and some data are the same as the storage ID and some data of the data update storage, and is played from the start if not, when resume play for the storage is asked(S15~S20).
