<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an effect on a sludge volume reduction in a multi-stage activated sludge method utilizing complementary diet action of a micro animal. <P>SOLUTION: Organic waste water is introduced into a first biological treatment tank 1 including aeration means, and an organic component (solubility BOD) of 70% or more, preferably 80% or more and further preferably 90% or more is oxidatively decomposed by bacteria existing in normal raw water such as for example, Alcaligenes, Pseudomonas, Baccillus, Aerobacter or Flavobacterium bacillus. The treated water in the first biological treatment tank 1 is introduced into a second biological treatment tank 2. In this tank, the remaining organic component is oxidatively decomposed, dispersing bacteria are autolyzed and the volume of excess sludge is reduced by complementary diet of the micro animal. The second biological treatment tank 2 uses a fluid bed so as to load it with a carrier C to enable an increase in the holding amount of micro animal in the tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
