PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform cyclic transmission using a transmission line between a main controller which controls operations of an elevator and each slave device such as an information terminal which is temporarily mounted and a call registration device. SOLUTION: In a transmission system for the elevator, a plurality of addresses are set for respective slave devices 13, 7, and 9, the main controller 6a cyclically outputs the respective addresses to transmission lines 8 and 10, and each slave device outputs information 22 to be sent to a transmission line when the address of itself is output to the transmission line. When the main controller can not receive the information within a permissible time after the address output, the main controller omits the output of the remaining addresses to the slave device and outputs the addresses to a next slave device.
