PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator, having excellent energy-saving performance by reducing wasteful power in opening and closing a shutter. SOLUTION: When a pipe fan is operated at a low ventilation air volume, a solenoid 43 is energized in the reversing direction to push down a lower arm 45, and simultaneously a cam lever 47 is pushed down to put six shutter grilles in the central part of a motor-driven shutter in the open state. When the pipe fan is operated at a high ventilation air volume, the solenoid 43 is energized in the normal rotating direction, and an upper guide 46 pushes up the whole shutter to be in the open state. By the above arrangement, during the low operation, only the six shutter grilles are driven so that the power applied to the solenoid 43 can be reduced as compared with that during the high operation.
