PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing cost of a temperature type expansion valve, in the temperature type expansion valve for controlling a flow rate of a refrigerant sent out to an evaporator by sensing the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant in an outlet of the evaporator, particularly in a refrigerating cycle of a vehicular air conditioner. SOLUTION: A cylindrical valve body 10 is integrally formed by performing deep drawing on a central part of a lower housing 5 constituting a power element 2, and an end surface of the opening end of its valve body 10 is formed as a valve seat 11. A valve element 12 is arranged so as to freely contact with and separate from its valve seat 11. Its valve element 12 is integrally formed with a shaft 16 transmitting displacement of a diaphragm 6 to the valve element 12, and its shaft 16 is held by a valve body 10 so as to freely advance and retreat in its axial direction. The valve element 12 is energized in the valve closing direction by a spring 13, and its spring 13 is received by a cylindrical spring holder 14. The spring holder 14 is fitted to the outside of the valve body 10, and adjusts a spring load of the spring 13 by a pushing-in quantity to the valve body 10, and adjusts a set value of this expansion valve 1.
