PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible water stop joint for improving its performance of stopping entering water which turns around the inside of a flexible water stop member while avoiding the rupture of a waterproof sheet due to the deformation of a joint portion, and to provide its construction method. SOLUTION: Preceding and following hitting fixed portions 21, 22 of the flexible water stop member 20 are adhered to the waterproof sheets 14, 14, respectively, to prevent the entry of water to the inside of the flexible water stop member 20. The waterproof sheets 14 each have a rupture preventing portion 14a on an area not relating to the entry of water to the inside of the flexible water stop member 20. This prevents the rupture of the waterproof sheets 14, 14 during deformation to improve the performance of stopping water which turns around the inside of the flexible water stop member 20 while avoiding the rupture of the waterproof sheets 14, 14 due to the deformation of the joint portion 13.
