PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for heat treatment in which the deformation of a bottom wall part is restrained and the service life can be extended. SOLUTION: The tool 1 for heat treatment in this invention, is provided with almost square cylindrical side wall part 2 and almost square platy bottom wall part 5. The bottom wall part 5 is integrally formed with the side wall part 2 at the center part in the axial direction of the side wall part 2 so as to plug the opening hole part. In this way, on any surface of the bottom wall part 5, the side wall part 2 is formed so as to surround the outer circumference and the drop of a laid workpiece can be prevented. Therefore, both surfaces of the bottom wall part 5 can be used. In this way, the deformation is restrained in a prescribed range by separately using both surfaces according to the deformation of the bottom wall part 5, and also, the service life of the tool 1 for heat treatment can be extended.
