PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improving an air pressure holding property without unnecessarily making an inner liner thick. SOLUTION: The inner liner 9 is divided into five areas of a crown portion area Q, both shoulder portion areas P, P and both bead portion areas R, R, when regarding a tire equator line CL as a center. At that time, the pneumatic tire 1 makes the content E2 of butyl rubber in the shoulder portion areas P, P between the crown portion area Q and both bead portion areas R, R, larger than the content E1 of the butyl rubber in the crown portion area Q and the content E3 of the butyl rubber in the bead portion area R. The manufacturing method of the pneumatic tire manufactures the pneumatic tire 1 by making the thickness t of an unvulcanized rubber sheet 10 for the inner liner before molding uniform.
