PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for manufacturing a third intermediate blank 63 manufactured from a round columnar blank 38 having no center hole to manufacture the third intermediate blank 63 at low cost as a material for outer-ring provided with a connecting flange 12 on the outer peripheral surface. SOLUTION: One end part or an intermediate part in the axial direction is formed into a cylindrical part 59 by pushing a punch against the one end surface center part of the blank 38 shown in the attached figure (A), and also, an outward flange-like roughly projecting part 41 is formed on the outer peripheral surface at the other end part in the axial direction to form a first intermediate blank 39 shown in the attached figure (B). After forming a second intermediate blank 60 shown in the attached figure (C) by squeezing such roughly projecting part 41, a bottomed sheet part 62 plugging the end part of the above cylindrical part 59 is removed to form a third intermediate blank 63 shown in the attached figure (D).
