PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control radiography of a moving image by detecting whether or not a radiographic image detection unit is mounted. SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not the radiographic image detection unit is mounted in S101. If mounting is detected in the S102, a frame rate FL is set to the possible maximum frame rate Fu. If not, the frame rate is limited to a frame rate Fo lower than the high frame rate Fu. In S103, radiographic conditions are set, and in S104, the frame rate FL of image numbers per unit time of the radiographic image is set. In S105, the radiographic image is read out at the preset frame rate FL. An X-ray tube is instructed to control its tube voltage and tube current to those set in S103, and controlled to apply X-rays in synchronism with the preset frame rate FL, thereby performing radiograph of radiographic images.
