MULTICAST PROCEDURE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

Provided is a method of providing a multicast service in a wireless network in a further effective and reliable manner. The multicast method including: transmitting, by a first station, a plurality of data frames in which a destination address field is set to an address of a specific multicast group; and performing a block acknowledgment (ACK) procedure between one or more second stations registered to the multicast group and the first station. The step of performing a block ACK procedure includes: transmitting, by the first station, a block ACK request frame to the second station; and transmitting, by the second station, a block ACK response frame which indicates whether the plurality of data frames are successfully received in response to the block ACK request frame. The block ACK procedure is performed by unicast, and wherein the block ACK procedure is performed with respect to all stations registered to the multicast group or is performed with respect to only one or more stations.
