<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for searching a disease-sensitive gene, and to provide a device therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A method for judging a homoeologous region comprises a polymorphic marker-selecting step for selecting a polymorphic marker used as a homozygous judgment target, a homozygous judgment step for judging whether bases constituting the polymorphic marker of a diploid or more specimen DNA is homozygous or not, a homozygous haplotype information-obtaining step for selecting only a polymorphic marker judged to be homozygous to obtain a homozygous haplotype information for each specimen, a common homozygous region information-obtaining step for comparing the homozygous haplotype information of two or specimens to obtain a common homozygous region information, and a homoeologous region judgment step for judging whether the common homozygous region is a homoeologous region among specimens, when each common homozygous region information satisfies prescribed homoeologous judgment conditions.
