PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera that removes foreign matter deposited on the surface of an image pickup element or the surface or the like of an optical member without adversely affecting durability of a shutter mechanism. SOLUTION: A cleaner 110 provided movably between a second shutter curtain 105 and the image pickup element 101 removes foreign matter deposited on the surface of an optical low-pass filter 102. The cleaner 110 is provided on a drive-side charge lever 108 executing shutter charge operation.
