摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection type laser beam propulsion device capable of providing higher propulsion effect with the minimum liquid consumption and capable of stable and continuous operation when abrasion is generated by laser beam radiation to a target and liquid therearound is scattered and jetted to provide propulsion force. SOLUTION: A check valve 3 preventing flow of liquid to a liquid tank is provided in a communication passage 6 establishing communication between the liquid tank 2 keeping liquid level constant and an injection gun cylinder part 7 provided with a gun cylinder opening 8 opening to an outside of a main body side wall. Although the gun cylinder hole receives constant liquid pressure from the liquid tank, liquid is prevented from flowing out by surface tension and the check valve. A target member 9 is provided at a section opposing to a gun cylinder opening of the injection gun cylinder part, and laser beam L is applied to a target member from an outside. Abrasion, thereby is generated on the target member, liquid around the same is scattered by explosion power thereof and liquid is jetted to the outside from the gun cylinder opening to generate propulsion force. Liquid in the liquid tank opens the check valve by liquid level drop due to scatter of liquid and liquid is refilled in the gun cylinder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
