PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software component reuse support system for enabling a developer to easily understand that a component is a component satisfying conditions that the developer requires when retrieving the component. SOLUTION: When a developer terminal 101 transmits data inputted by the developer to a component support device 103, the data is received by a data receiving function 107. Next, components satisfying the developer's requests are retrieved from a component group stored in a component configuration management repository 104 on the basis of the received data and test data stored in a developing configuration management repository 102. Then, the source codes and specifications information of the components satisfying the developer's requests are transmitted to the developer terminal 101 and displayed on a proposed component display screen 300 to thereby propose the components to the developer.
