Each pixel 50 has a TFD 51 connected to a data line X. In the full picture display mode, a data line drive circuit 12 supplies a voltage level composed of a voltage VHN and a voltage VHP1 higher than the potential of the voltage VHN to a plurality of data lines X as an image signal, and in the partial display mode, supplies a voltage level composed of the voltage VHN and a voltage VHP2 higher than the potential of the voltage VHN and lower than the potential of the voltage VHP1 to the plurality of data lines X as an image signal.
