PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM reception device and a receiving method thereof that gives a delay even when there is a delay wave exceeding a guard length. SOLUTION: Inter-symbol interference and an SP interpolating filter are controlled independently of each other to set a window position of FFT, i.e. a symbol segmentation position in an optimum position. In this invention, control is performed so as to minimize deterioration due to the inter-symbol interference and deterioration due to the SP interpolating filter respectively while an error rate is monitored. Consequently, even when there is the unreceivable delay wave exceeding the guard length, the delay wave can be received without increasing the circuit scale, and a service area can be expanded.
