PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soap composition excellent in foamability in use, giving fine and creamy foam quality with moderate scrub feeling, thus good in feeling in use. SOLUTION: The soap composition comprises 0.1-5 mass% of a mixed crystalline cellulose with the mass ratio of a crystalline cellulose(a) 10-100μm in average particle size to a second crystalline cellulose b 140-400μm in average particle size being (1:3) to (2:1) and 95-99.5 mass% of a fatty acid salt, wherein the content of the crystalline cellulose larger than 500μm in particle size is less than 0.5 mass%.
