PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter type endoscope which enables the placement of a plurality of electrical connection members for a distal end adapter as they remain insulated and high-accuracy positioning. SOLUTION: The adapter type endoscope is equipped with the distal end adapter which is mounted on a distal end and has an LED 14 and an endoscope insertion portion having terminal members for supplying power to the LED 14 in the distal end. An adapter side connection part placement hole 11e having an abutting end face is formed on the distal end adapter, and an adapter side electrical connector 20 constituted by integrating a plurality of electrical connecting members 26, constituted by arranging a first pin member 21, a second pin member 22, and a coil spring 24 in a case body 23, with an insulator 25 is placed on the placement hole 11e. The insulator 25 has an abutting surface, and the connector 20 is positioned by making the abutting surface abut on the abutting end face while the connector 20 is placed.
