<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device, a memory management method and a program for retrieving data at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: This data storage device is provided with: a nonvolatile memory 112 whose memory area is physically divided, and whose divided memory areas are respectively prepared with a buffer area for rewriting; and a memory management part 106 for updating the data recorded in each of the divided memories by using the buffer area for rewriting prepared in each of the divided memory areas.
