<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating apparatus, an image generating method, and a program, suitable for simply performing rendition accompanied by a motion of shake. <P>SOLUTION: In an image generating apparatus 200, a storage unit 201 stores image data. An extracting unit 202 extracts first extraction data by deciding a first area in a piece of image data based on a position selected by a selecting unit 203. The extracting unit 202 extracts second extraction data by deciding a second area included in the first area. A combining unit 204 combines the first extraction data with original image data after shifting the first extraction data by a first amount of move, and after shifting the second extraction data by a second amount of move larger than the first amount of move.
