PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate positional correction for pixels in a subscanning direction and to highly accurately correct an optical system or mechanical scanning line bend. SOLUTION: An optical scanner is configured to form one pixel with the whole m light sources among the n light sources (n≥2, n≥m≥2) arranged in different positions at least in the subscanning direction. A light source drive control means is provided which switches a light emitting source in the manner that one pixel shifts in a prescribed direction in the subscanning direction with a shift quantity of the same length as that of a pitch of one light source, at a certain image height in the main scanning direction. The light source drive control means switches the light emitting source at a different position in the main scanning direction for pixels adjacent in the subscanning direction.
