PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an electric component having a large outer shape to a printed circuit board whose width is narrowed since the number of contacts is small in order to be used in a single-phase two-wire type watt hour meter. SOLUTION: A single-phase two-wire type surge suppression system is composed of a case 1 of a box-like body 1A and a cover body 1B. The surge suppression system is attached with resistors R10, R11, R12, and R13 for suppressing and protecting a display element LED10 and surge on the surface of the printed circuit board 17 provided in the case so as to be endured in use of the watt hour meter of 200 V, attached with a capacitor C10 suppressing the surge on the rear face together with the resistors, and is provided with a pair of the contacts 2A and 2B electrically brought into contact with the load terminal of the watt hour meter.
