PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material and its molded products which are useful in various fields of applications requiring night visibility such as of vehicles, sign displays, outdoor items, indoor items, and wall materials such as of hospital buildings in emergency, since molded products prepared by press-molding a molding material containing a specific luminous material have excellent appearance, night visibility, afterglow luminescence, and afterglow time while maintaining excellent properties of a molding compound of productivity, surface property, strength, size stability and physical characteristics at low VOC. SOLUTION: The molding material is used to obtain the luminous material by press-molding. The molding material comprises, for the total amount of 100 mass parts, following required components: (A) 5-20 mass parts of a thermosetting resin; (B) 5-20 mass parts of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer; (C) 10-70 mass parts of a filler; (D) 5-50 mass parts of glass fibers with a fiber length of 2-50 mm; and (E) 0.1-20 mass parts of a luminous material with a maximum diameter of 0.05-10 mm.
