A device for reinforcing a side waterway pipe is provided to prevent damage of a cover plate by fixing the cover plate on a reinforcing plate. A device for reinforcing a side waterway(1) pipe comprises a reinforcing plate(10), a cover plate supporting groove(6), a screw unit, a cover plate. The reinforcing plate is shaped as a strap. The reinforcing plate is integrally connected with the cover plate supporting groove of the waterway pipe to reinforce strength. The screw unit is vertically exposed on the reinforcing plate with regular intervals. The cover plate has a screw nut groove screw-combining with the exposed screw unit. A cushion plate is installed between an upper surface of the reinforcing plate and the cover plate.
