An input device having a touch pad is provided to allow a user to manipulate various functions easily and conveniently and access the functions directly and quickly. A microcomputer(20) controls an input device overall. A modulation unit(30) modulates a signal into a format that can be received by an external main body. A transmitting unit(40) transmits the modulated signal. A touch pad(10) includes a unit for outputting a signal for performing a particular function to the microcomputer(20) whenever a touch region is touched. The unit includes the first sensor provided in the touch region and outputting a signal according to a touched position or movement of the touched position, the second sensor for measuring the speed of the touched position in the touch region, and a tact button for outputting a signal to perform a particular function by pressure.
