An ultrasound system and a method for controlling scan line are provided to easily calculate a steering angle of the scan line for each transducer without using additional hardware or software to rapidly calculate the steering angle. An ultrasound system comprises a probe(110), a steering angle calculating unit(121), and a control unit(122). The probe includes a plurality of transducers(112). The plurality of transducers convert electric signals into ultrasound signals, transmit the ultrasound signals to an object along a scan line, and receive the ultrasound signals reflected from the object to convert the ultrasound signals into the electric signals. The steering angle calculating unit calculates a steering angle of the scan line for each of the transducers by using a progression. The control unit controls steering of the scan line for each of the transducers based on the steering angle.
