PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion accumulation element having a structure that a cylindrical electrode body wound spirally is accommodated together with a nonaqueous electrolyte in a cylindrical metallized negative pole can have a bottom, wherein a preparatory occlusion of lithium ions to a negative pole is uniformly and smoothly performed.

SOLUTION: A lithium metal 41 for preparatorily occluding the lithium ions to the negative pole 231 is adhered in a layered pattern onto one face of a metallic lithium retaining plate 50 formed so as to overlap with a winding end of an electrode body 20, and in a state that a lithium metal face is faced in parallel to the winding end and is electrically connected to the negative pole 231. This retaining plate 50 is disposed at an end of the electrode body 20.
