<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon-expandable stent easily molded into a narrow tube and enabling precise and minute working; and to provide its production method. <P>SOLUTION: This balloon-expandable stent is characterized by being produced using a base material which has kinetic properties of dilation of 12% or more, yield strength at 0.2% of 800 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or less, tensile strength of 500 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or more and Young's modulus of 150 or less, preferably using titanium alloy containing 1-5 wt.% of aluminum and 1-5 wt.% of vanadium. Cold working which is hard for the conventional Ti64 alloy becomes possible in this alloy so as to enable working on the narrow tube and reduce the working cost. Compared with stainless steel one, this stent can improve the spring property, antithrombogenicity and visibility in MRI. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
