PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system allowing chromaticity and luminance of illumination light to be widely adjusted with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This lighting system includes an LED 1 and an LED 2 having color temperatures different from each other, and a control circuit CTRL executing lighting/extinguishing control of the LED 1 and the LED 2. The control circuit CTRL is structured to execute periodical lighting/extinguishing control of the LED 1 and the LED 2 to have a lighting period to complementarily light/extinguish the LED 1 and the LED 2, and an extinguishing period to extinguish both the LED 1 and the LED 2.
