PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying roller in which a cylindrical member formed of two split semi-cylindrical members on a shaft is prevented from being slipped and which can be machined at low cost. SOLUTION: In this conveying roller, the split end surfaces 6a1, 6b1 of two semi-cylindrical split roller pieces 6a, 6b are joined to each other on both sides of a shaft A on the outer periphery of the shaft A, and a flexible ring member 7 is fitted and fixed. The conveying roller comprises the grooves 11a, 11b of the side surfaces 9a, 13a of a cylindrical member 6 formed of the two semi-cylindrical split roller pieces 6a, 6b after the joining, the storage portion 3 of the shaft A for storing the cylindrical member 6, the groove 4 of the shaft A, and a projecting part 8 formed on the ring member 7 engaged with the groove 4.
