PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave dryer capable of preventing cracks, wrinkles, deformation, or the like of a dried object caused by microwave drying. SOLUTION: The microwave dryer 20 comprises a heater 27 heating an internal wall 25 of a drying chamber 24 of the microwave dryer 20 up to or close to a boiling point temperature, and a steam feeder 32 feeding steam into the drying chamber 24 to raise an internal temperature. The microwave dryer 20 is constituted to prevent radiation and convection heat emitted from the outside of the dried object (a honeycomb product 10) and to raise the temperature of the interior and exterior of the dried object at the same speed during microwave drying.
