PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of consistently performing the sewing work of an outer peripheral part and realizing the consistent quality of the sewing pitch. SOLUTION: The airbag device has an airbag 11 and an inflator for jetting a gas into the airbag 11. The airbag 11 is composed of at least two base cloths 12, 13. A discharge opening 15 is formed in a counter-outer peripheral edge side in a vicinity of an outer peripheral sewing line 14 of at least one base cloth 12. Slits 16 are formed reaching at least the outer peripheral sewing line 14 toward an outer peripheral edge of the discharge opening 15 from both sides in the direction of the outer peripheral edge. The airbag is easily folded thereby while the number of manufacturing components and the manufacturing man-hour are not increased much. Even when a discharge hole is formed, the shape is consistent, and the sewing work of the outer peripheral part can be performed consistently.
