PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure capable of surly protecting tabular or linear parts, which are piped or wired in an engine room, such as a various kinds of liquid pressure hoses and a various kinds of current conduction wires, from a high temperature, in addition to realizing an insulation cost reduction and improvement of insulation workability, for instance when being used in the engine rooms of cars. SOLUTION: In the heat insulating structure which constitutes a multilayer structure having a metal thin film layer 1 as an outermost surface side layer, at least one layer of thermoconductive layer 2 is arranged on the rear side of the metal thin film layer 1, the rearmost surface side layer is an heat insulating layer 3, and the thermal diffusion coefficient of the thermoconductive layer 2 is larger than the thermal diffusion coefficient of the heat insulating layer 3 and the ratio of the thickness of the heat insulating layer 3 to that of the thermoconductive layer 2 is 0.05-5.
