PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely judge whether the rotation action of a rotary table is normal or not in a machine rotating the rotary table on which two molds are mounted intermittently and alternatively in the forward/backward direction by 180°at a time. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine includes an encoder for detecting the rotation of a motor rotating/driving the rotary table, two non-contact type sensors arranged at an interval of 180°on the outside of the rotary table in order to detect a signal part set only in one place on the periphery of the rotary table, and a control means which controls the action of an injection molding machine are provided. The control means, from a state in which the rotary table is stopped and one of the two sensors is detecting the signal part, monitors a measured pulse value by the output of the encoder when the rotary table is rotated and whether the other of the two sensors is detecting the signal part or not, and judges whether abnormality occurs or not by both of the measured pulse value and the detection state of the two non-contact type sensors.
