PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly receive data sent one-sidedly from a transmission side. SOLUTION: The printer includes a data receiving part which receives reception data from the outside one frame by one frame and acquires size information related to a size of each frame of the received reception data, a DMA controller which sequentially transfers the reception data received by the data receiving part to a memory and generates an interruption signal every time the transfer to the memory of the reception data finishes by a predetermined number of frames, a CPU which starts a process of analyzing the reception data stored in the memory for every frame on the basis of the size information acquired by the data receiving part after it receives the interruption signal generated by the DMA controller, and a printing part which carries out printing on a medium on the basis of the reception data.
