PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial vehicle that detects a slip of each drive wheel, in an electric-drive type industrial vehicle whose wheels are driven by an electric motor; using a simple and inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: The electric-drive type industrial vehicle, whose wheels are driven by an electric motor, is provided with a drive command part for controlling the driving with respect to the motor; a rotational-frequency sensor for calculating the rotational frequency of the motor, an acceleration calculation part for calculating the acceleration of each drive wheel, on the basis of changes in rotational frequency; a driving-force calculation part for calculating the driving force generated by the motor; a determination-value calculating part for calculating the ratio between the driving force and the acceleration as a determined value for each fixed time period; and a slip determining part for detecting the slip of each drive wheel, on the basis of fluctuations in the determined value.
