The ventilation device (10) has a supply air assembly (12) and an exhaust air assembly (13) arranged and aligned in their construction one on another. A cross sectional air flow (41), which flows horizontally, is provided during conditioning and processing operation above a work place (11). The cross sectional air flow is freightened through injection effect with load substances, and transports harmful loads to the exhaust air assembly, which conveys the diversion of exhaust air from the work place.
