Class 8(2) A gas cylinder charging means comprises a head which includes a supply nozzle 22 and a cylinder clamping frame 18 supported by a yoke 12 from a weighing device e.g., a spring balance 11 whereby the total weight of the cylinder and its charge may be observed during the changing operation. The yoke 12 is guided on a stand 10 by links 14 and pins 15 to allow vertical movement limited by a stop 13. The empty cylinder (not shown) is first placed in a cup 26 at one end of a pivoted lever 24 and in a guide fork 17, the clamp 18 is tightened 'and the nozzle 22 connected to the cylinder inlet after which the cup is allowed to fall, the balance reading observed and charging operation commenced. |
