A method for preparing a hydrogel is provided to obtain a hypersensitive hydrogel having a structural strength sufficient to be applied through crosslinking and controllable swelling property. A method for preparing a hydrogel comprises a hydrophilic monomer, a crosslinking agent and a polymerization initiator, wherein the hydrophilic monomer contains salts of acrylic acid and vinyl sulfonic acid in a molar ratio of 5:1-19:1, and the crosslinking agent is used in an amount of 1-3 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the hydrophilic monomer. Preferably, the molar ratio of the salt of acrylic acid to the salt of vinyl sulfonic acid is 5:1.
