<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter tube preventing the occurrence of kinks by suppressing a change in rigidity at a taper section. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter tube comprises an outer layer, an inner layer and reinforcement members arranged between the inner and outer layers. The catheter tube has a tubular proximal section, the taper section having a taper and formed on the distal side of the proximal part, and a distal section formed on the distal side of the taper section. An outer layer taper part that tapers from the proximal side to the distal side is formed on position of the taper section of the outer layer, and an inner layer taper part that tapers from the proximal side to the distal side is formed on the position of the taper section of the inner layer. A plurality of reinforcement wire rods, each of which is formed by spirally winding the reinforcement member, are braided to form a tubular braid. The winding pitch of the reinforcement member at the distal section is 1.2-3.0 times as many as the winding pitch of reinforcement member at the proximal section.
