<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve closing unit and a reactor equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: This valve closing unit comprises a filler chamber filled with a filler containing a phase transition substance of a solid state at normal temperatures and a plurality of heat-generating microparticles which are dispersed in the phase transition substance and generates heat through absorbing an electromagnetic wave energy generated by irradiation with an electromagnetic wave from the outside, a connection passage for connecting the filler chamber with a channel, and an external energy source for irradiating the filler with the electromagnetic wave. The heat-generating microparticles which generate heat through irradiating with the electromagnetic wave from an external energy source, melts and inflates the phase transition substance and in turn, inflates the filler. The expanded filler flows into the channel passing through the connection passage and closes the channel.
