<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in a heat fixing device used for a copying machine, a printer, etc., a paper sheet does not absorb heat outside a paper passing region (roller end portions) of rollers related to fixation, especially, a roller having a heating means, and the end portions are excessively heated during continuous paper passage, thereby shortening the life of the roller or deteriorating fixed image quality right after the paper sheet is changed to a wide-width paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: Two heater lamps 4 adaptive to a maximum paper sheet width of the heat roller 7 can be arranged, and they are hollow cylindrical rollers. The heater lamps 4 are halogen lamps having the same light distribution characteristics along the axes. The heat roller 7 incorporates a copper-made heat pipe 11 having superior heat conductivity along the axis. Even when heat is temporarily absorbed by a narrow paper sheet passed, the axial temperature distribution is made uniform through the effect of the heat pipe 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
